Cape St. Mary's is the ideal place to practice bird photography. The gannets are magnificent acrobatic fliers, and getting great shots is a challenge. It is also a very beautiful location in which to photograph other wild birds, flowers, and landscapes. As much as gannets are elegant fliers puffins are the complete opposite. They are a lot of fun to photograph and watch, and provide a completely different photographic challenge when compared to gannets. As well as photographing puffins, we will explore Bonavista and the surrounding villages for landscape and fishing village photographic opportunities. The Seaport Inn in Port Union is a convenient place to find affordable accommodation. It is also fairly close to Elliston.
